Job purpose
The FAA Repair Station Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations within an FAA-certified repair station, ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and safety standards. This role includes supervising maintenance personnel, managing work orders, and ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to work 2nd shift schedule (3:00pm - 11:30pm)
Supervise maintenance, inspection, and repair operations in accordance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 145) and established performance standards.
Ensure proper documentation of all component repair work using approved methods and records systems.
Ensure dependable compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
Schedule, assign, and oversee work of technicians and inspectors to maintain compliance with airworthiness standards.
Conduct audits, monitor repair station operations, and ensure adherence to the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM).
Maintain current knowledge of FAA regulations, service bulletins, airworthiness directives (ADs), and OEM technical data.
Interface with the FAA, customers, vendors, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee training programs and ensure personnel qualifications meet regulatory and company requirements.
Support the Operations Director and HSE with regulatory compliance and observance activities.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is performed in accordance with OSHA and environmental standards.
Exposure to noise, chemicals, cleaning agents, hazardous / nonhazardous waste and dust is common.
